Art Market : The Week in numbers: Filipino artists – Data Artprice

The Philippines is one of Asia’s most thrilling art scenes. A new generation of artists born in the 1970’s and 1980’s has emerged over the last ten years, following a few internationally renowned artists in stride. With these artists’ prices soaring in Hong Kong and Singapore, the Philippines have ensured them a vibrant market, capable of attracting major collectors, by transferring their pieces back home. Many other artists are now taking advantage of this tremendous visibility.
